Fair Game in Memphis

There have been several inquiries to the midsouth anon g-mail account about The Bridge, the film written and directed by Brett Hanover. For those of you who don’t know the full story, this brilliant piece of film was removed from the internet after pressure from Scientology on Mr. Hanover.

Now it appears that Scientology has hired investigators to dig up dirt on Brett Hanover to shudder him into silence. They have succeeded. So Scientology hasn’t changed. It seems it can’t change. Which means people have to keep speaking out about it’s corrupt nature.

Even though the creator has removed it from the internet, it lives on. Please watch this, not only because it is a very accurate portrayal of what Scientology is like, but also watch this because this is PROOF that the cult will use tactics to remove critical material about them. They did this to one of Memphis’s best and brightest filmmakers.

Dear Scientology – You can’t stop the internet.

One of the themes of OR is family, and we need to sell this point. AVC: Speaking of ruffling people’s feathers, have you spoken to Isaac Hayes since the Scientology episode blowout?

MS: We haven’t. I heard he was on tour, I heard he had a stroke. We haven’t.

AVC: Has that been hard?

MS: Not really. It’s not like we were really good friends. I think there was something going on more with the Church of Scientology than with Isaac, though I haven’t talked to him about it, and I have no evidence of that. It’s not something we keep in the front of our minds.

Fair Game is alive and well

One of our Anons has received intrusive phone calls at work from someone with a MEMPHIS phone number asking his boss for his PERSONAL information.

If any of you get harassing calls, any fair game info, please forward it to me at midsouthanon@gmail.com

I am compiling a list, and I do have legal contacts to work with. Also, dialing *57 after the call records the call info with the phone company for future police investigation.

Also if anyone has a CLEAR photo of the “photographer” who came to the protest’s car or license plate, please e-mail me!

Edit : Well, the fair game was a false alarm, the calls were a friend playing a prank. But the rest of my info still stands!

Midsouth Anon Video!

Ides of March recap

In spite of the pouring rain, cold wind and occasional potty thetan, the Ides of March protest in Memphis ended up being not only an EPIC WIN but also EPIC lulz. Unfortunately, our delicious cake did not make it because Wreckchan had a small fender bender while admiring his mask. We did have delicious brownies!

We only had one incident with the police, when they came to ask us to move away from the corner to keep from blocking traffic. This lead to a fun game of “Car!” “Protest on!” to move people back so the view from the corner was clear.

We had lots of honks, support and cheers from the general public. Two neighbors even came by and let their dogs show their support on the Co$ lawn.

Towards the end of the protest, a list of the names of those killed because of Scientology was read off, and our anons stood guard on the median. Cries of “These are your crimes” and “We speak for those who can not” were heard.

Afterwards we dismissed to change clothes and postgame at our super secret location.

Special thanks goes to Blues, who secured the permit, Momanon, for being awesome, and Brownie girl for the delicious brownies.

Oh, and Magoo, for the short but sweet peptalk during pregame!
